{"id":553,"date":"2013-08-19T01:55:24","date_gmt":"2013-08-19T01:55:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/selfstudy.spaces.wooster.edu\/?p=214"},"modified":"2021-09-07T10:55:36","modified_gmt":"2021-09-07T14:55:36","slug":"continuing-accreditation-affirmed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inside.wooster.edu\/hlc\/blog\/continuing-accreditation-affirmed\/","title":{"rendered":"Continuing Accreditation Affirmed!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On August 15, 2013 we received our \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/livewooster.sharepoint.com\/:b:\/s\/HigherLearningCommission\/EePhgaAzcPZIs0wyK6OP_l4B9pvgy3HoPWt22IJrtsebpA?e=garNDV\">PEAQ Reaffirmation Letter<\/a>\u201d from the Higher Learning Commission.\u00a0 This is the official notification of the HLC\u2019s action on our self-study for continued accreditation and our visiting team\u2019s report.<\/p>\n<p>The Institutional Actions Council, the HLC&#8217;s committee that reviews and acts on visiting team reports and recommendations, voted to continued our accreditation, the next Reaffirmation of Accreditation in 2022-23. The Council also <a href=\"https:\/\/livewooster.sharepoint.com\/:b:\/s\/HigherLearningCommission\/EePhgaAzcPZIs0wyK6OP_l4B9pvgy3HoPWt22IJrtsebpA?e=garNDV\">affirmed <\/a>that we are\u00a0 eligible to select the &#8220;Open Pathway&#8221; process for our reaffirmation of accreditation in 2023.\u00a0 Institutions that are eligible for the &#8220;Open Pathway&#8221; are those which have no significant issues or challenges with their accreditation status.<\/p>\n<p>We are comparing the &#8220;Open Pathway&#8221; and &#8220;Standard Pathway&#8221; options to fully understand which is the optimal choice for us; it is likely we will accept the invitation to participate in the &#8220;Open Pathway&#8221; process.<\/p>\n<p>So the only thing we need to do is decide which option we want to follow in the HLC\u2019s new model for continuing accreditation.\u00a0 There is no interim or follow-up report, no monitoring reports, no focused visit.\u00a0 Just select and get on a \u201cpathway\u201d in preparation for 2022-23\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On August 15, 2013 we received our \u201cPEAQ Reaffirmation Letter\u201d from the Higher Learning Commission.\u00a0 This is the official notification of the HLC\u2019s action on our self-study for continued accreditation and our visiting team\u2019s report.
