On April 17 & 18, team representing our regional accreditor, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), will be on campus as part of our 10-year accreditation review.\u00a0\u00a0 A reason for their visit is to talk with several students, staff, and faculty about how Wooster meets HLC\u2019s Criteria for Accreditation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They do this through two meeting formats: open forums focused on the Criteria, and drop-in sessions for confidential conversations with the Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here\u2019s the schedule. You are welcome to all sessions. Please attend one or more sessions as your schedule permits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Monday, April 17<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 10:00-10:50AM: Criterion Open Forum on Criterion #5 (Institutional Effectiveness, Resources and Planning)<\/em> Location: Andrews Library, CORE<\/p>\n\n\n\n This session focuses on our finances, strategic planning, future plans, and institutional effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3:00-3:50PM: Criterion Open Forum on Criteria 1 & 2 (Mission and Integrity: Ethical and Responsible Conduct) This session focuses on fulfilling Wooster\u2019s mission, diversity, student and faculty involvement in community & society, ethics, fair policies & procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4:00-4:50PM: Criterion Open Forum on Criteria 3 & 4 (Teaching and Learning – Quality, Resources and Support and Evaluation and Improvement) This session focuses on the quality of our academic programs, qualifications of faculty, program review, availability of courses, advising, assessment of student learning, and retention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5:00-5:45PM: Drop-In Session.
