We are glad to support you as you navigate your Benefits options. In addition to the annual Open Enrollment period, eligible employees may make changes to their benefit plans when experiencing a <strong>Qualified Life Event (QLE).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Qualified Life Event is a personal life change that may impact your health insurance needs. Changes related to a QLE must be submitted within <strong>30 calendar days<\/strong> of the event date. Please note this timeframe is based on calendar days\u2014not business days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Examples of Qualified Life Events include, but are not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Marriage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Divorce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Birth or adoption of a child<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Death of a covered family member<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loss of other health insurance coverage (e.g., due to job loss)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turning 26 and losing coverage under a parent\u2019s plan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Moving to a different ZIP code or country that affects your current coverage area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Employees who work <strong>1,000 or more hours annually<\/strong> are eligible for various benefits. If you have questions about eligibility or need to report a <strong>Qualified Life Event (QLE)<\/strong>, please contact the <strong>Office of Human Resources<\/strong> as soon as possible.
