Off-campus employment<\/strong>, including paid<\/span>, unpaid<\/span>, volunteer<\/span>, or remote work<\/span>, requires authorization through CPT. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Attain a copy of your Job Offer Letter<\/strong>. See below<\/span> for Requirements<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Job title 2. Complete the CPT Request Form<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. Enroll in an Internship for Credit Course<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Upon completion of the steps above, submit your Job Offer Letter<\/strong> and completed CPT Request Form<\/strong> to ISS. Email the documents to international@wooster.edu<\/a> or drop them off Lowry 229 at least five business days<\/strong> before the requested start date. Documents must be received by ISS and reviewed prior to employment start. You may ONLY begin working after receiving authorization from ISS in the form of new I-20 with CPT authorization.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Unauthorized employment will result in the termination of your SEVIS record. Students in violation of employment regulations cannot apply for reinstatement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n While there are many great opportunities out there, not all of them meet the requirements of Curricular Practical Training (CPT).\u00a0 Jobs and internships must be directly related to the student\u2019s current declared major.\u00a0 Students will need to clearly show this connection. \u00a0See page 3 of the CPT Request Form<\/a> for more details.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n If the connection to the student\u2019s current major is not clear, the CPT request will be denied. If more clarification is needed, ISS will provide additional guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
