It is not appropriate to loan or borrow a COW card for any reason, as this would be a falsification of identity and a violation of the Code of Social Responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">State of Ohio ID Card<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ohio State ID card establishes the fact that you live in Ohio. It is considered a valid photo ID so you don\u2019t have to carry your passport everywhere. We recommend obtaining a state ID card at your earliest convenience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To obtain a state ID card, take the items listed below to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmv.ohio.gov\/dl-identity-documents.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bureau of Motor Vehicles<\/a>&nbsp;(BMV):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Valid passport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>US visa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Print-out of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/i94.cbp.dhs.gov\/I94\/#\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Form I-94<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Form I-20<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of Residence (You can get this from Residence Life. You must specify that you need the letter for a State ID Card.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social Security Card (if you have one, a SSN is not required to apply.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For more information on acceptable documents, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmv.ohio.gov\/dl-identity-documents.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">please visit the BMV website.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Other important information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Wooster BMV is located at: 200 Vanover Street, Suite 3 (You can take the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.woosteroh.com\/sites\/default\/files\/Transit\/WayGo%20Fixed%20Route%20Map%208_19_25.pdf\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.woosteroh.com\/sites\/default\/files\/Transit\/WayGo%20Fixed%20Route%20Map%208_19_25.pdf\">Waygo Fixed Route<\/a> to Stop #1 and walk from there. It is about a 9-minute walk.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wooster BMV Phone: 330-287-5640<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hours:<\/strong> Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm; Saturday from 8:00am-12:00pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Due to the length of the process, arrive at the BMV office <strong>before 4pm during the weekday<\/strong>, and <strong>before 11am on Saturday<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have a\u00a0<strong>pending<\/strong>\u00a0Social Security Number application, you cannot apply for a State ID.\u00a0 Once you\u00a0<strong>receive<\/strong>\u00a0your Social Security Number, you can apply for a state ID.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have a Social Security Number, IDs are free.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social Security Numbers are\u00a0<strong><u>NOT required<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong>for State IDs.\u00a0 Individuals without a Social Security Number have to pay a\u00a0<strong>$5 notarizing fee<\/strong>\u00a0for a required form.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Information to know before applying for a state ID:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Height in feet and inches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Weight in pounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write your birthdate with the month first (MM\/DD\/YYYY)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Address here at The College (without your box number)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Let them know you are an international student here on an F-1 visa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Note:&nbsp;<\/strong>Be sure to write your name exactly as it appears on your passport.
