Williams Hall of Life Sciences Laboratory Safety Resources"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The most important responsibilities of every member of the science community is to conduct research responsibly and safely.  Safety should be the cornerstone on which research protocols and researcher behavior is built.  Each person, student, faculty, or staff member is responsible for anticipating how their research can be conducted in a way that protects their own health and the safety of others.  The safety training we provide at the start of each academic year is intended to educate and reinforce our commitment to thoughtful and safe research conduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fall Safety Training News:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fall 2025 Safety Training Dates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Session I: Tuesday, August 26th, 11 AM, Freedlander Theatre (required)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Session II: Thursday, August 28th, 11 AM, Freedlander Theatre (required)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Safety Training is mandatory for:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Biology, BCMB, Chemistry, Environmental Studies and Neuroscience seniors&nbsp;(There are a few exemptions that advisors will communicate directly with the senior)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students employed by the College working in Severance or Williams Halls; stockroom assistants, laboratory assistants, research assistants, greenhouse assistants, STEM Zone Interns, and building monitors&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contact Hilary Edgington for details regarding future Safety Training dates: <a href=\"mailto:hedgington@wooster.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hedgington@wooster.edu<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Severance Hall and Ruth W.
