Spring Exhibitions Celebration

Join us for a celebration of our spring exhibitions—this is the last week for Essential Matter and the opening week of Lake Valley by Rachel Rose. Short gallery talk at 4:15 pm, followed by viewing and discussion of Lake Valley. 

The artists in both exhibitions have strategically sourced and transformed the materials from which their work was made. In each case, the meaning of the artwork hinges on this process—none of them could be composed from wholly new materials. The works allude to the original purpose of their materials as their fundamental characteristics carry through into new creations.
