Pillar I.A.1.of Framing Our Future, Build first-year enrollment, talks about broadening our enrollment reach in a variety of markets. This year we\u2019ve seen an increase in applications thanks to months of work by the enrollment team and our partners across campus. The enrollment management team (admissions and financial aid) spends countless hours, days, weeks, and months recruiting the next class of Fighting Scots, often side by side with our colleagues in Athletics as well as Marketing and Communications. This work frequently begins when the prospective student is a sophomore in high school and those relationships develop all the way through the student\u2019s senior year of high school. When high school seniors apply for admission, they often wonder what happens after they click \u201csubmit.\u201d At Wooster that is when their application lands in the caring and thoughtful hands of an enrollment team member that values learning about the people behind the transcripts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As we approach mid-January, the heaviest part of the admissions reading and financial aid season begins to transition to welcoming admitted students to campus. Through partnerships with faculty and staff across the College, the campus prepares to share what makes our community special with designated admitted student visit days (Scot Showcase), virtual events, and numerous individual appointments with professors, coaches, and other critical members of our community that help prospective students choose Wooster as their home for the next four years. Be sure to say \u201chi\u201d to visitors when you seen them on campus this spring!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s an exciting time for the enrollment management team, and we look forward to admitting and ultimately enrolling another great class of Fighting Scots!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
