Job Description:

Assist the office of alumni and family engagement with connecting multicultural student organizations with diverse alumni. This is a highly collaborative position that includes working alongside the staff in the alumni office in planning campus events, connecting with other organization leaders, promoting the Fighting Scot Career Connections, and meeting with the Alumni Board.

In this position, the student worker is expected to meet with the Assistant Director of Regional Programs once a week. They will be given tasks each week based on what is discussed during the meeting. These tasks include connecting with departments on campus to assist in projects, drafting emails, identifying diverse alumni for panels, meet and greets, and workshops, helping set up and run events.

This position requires a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who understands the importance of student and alumni engagement and can effectively communicate its importance.


  • Help plan social, career-oriented, and school-unifying events that engages both alumni and the student body
  • Promote Fighting Scot Career Connections
  • Meet with the alumni office once a week
  • Come to at least one Alumni Board Meeting
  • Work with alumni office as a liaison between student multicultural organizations and diverse alumni


  • Must be a current student at The College of Wooster. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative to accomplish tasks
  • Familiarity and/or willingness to learn more about alumni engagement
  • Understanding of the importance of diversity when creating and maintaining meaningful relationships that benefit students and alumni

*Preference will be given to students involved in multicultural student organizations
