22-23 AY Scovel Office Assistant

Job Description:

Assist Administrative Coordinator with general duties for the Department(s) of Philosophy, Geology and the Pre-Law Advising Program, as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities (may include the following, but will not be limited to):

  • Assist in preparation of Philosophy Roundtable announcements
  • General office duties
  • Data entry
  • Copy class and departmental materials
  • Assist in departmental mailings
  • Maintain department bulletin boards throughout Scovel Hall
  • Assist with large departmental events (Lecture series, Moot Court Tournament, etc.)
  • Mailing, record keeping, data spreadsheets and filing

  • Must have good people skills
  • Good written and oral skills
  • Pleasant personality and sense of humor
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office programs
  • Eagerness/willingness to learn and work
  • Ability to do focused work on a project alone and as part of a team
  • You are not required to be a Earth Sciences or Philosophy major, but an interest in these departments and/or pre-law is beneficial and will be given preference
  • Must be a current College of Wooster student
