Summer 2022 Follow Spot Operator

Job Description:

The Follow Spot Operator is responsible for the operation of a follow spot during tech rehearsals and performances of the Ohio Light Opera. The Spot Operator will be working directly with the lighting department and have opportunities to be critically involved in the execution of the lighting design elements.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Operate one of two follow spots during tech rehearsals and performances.
  • Assist in the pre-show setup and prep as needed.


  • Must be a current student at The College of Wooster. 
  • Must be dependable and responsible, able to work independently, as well as can work on a team.
  • Must be able to follow directions, and complete tasks thoroughly & accurately.
