Job Description:

Wooster’s HLC Self-study and Information & Planning teams (Professor Anne Nurse, Professor Amber Garcia, Ellen Falduto) seek two students to assist with various data collection, organization, and analysis projects relating to our upcoming Higher Learning Commission visit in spring 2023. Work may be full-time or part-time from late May through July 2022 and must be on campus.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Collect data, update, and maintain College data and information needed to support our five self-study working groups
  • Analyze data and artifacts collected by working groups during spring 2022
  • Assist with an analysis of course syllabi
  • Other projects may be identified, including assisting Information Technology staff with archiving the old “wiki” site

Requirements:

  • Must be a current student at The College of Wooster
  •  Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work with groups and individuals
  • Strong organizational, detail, and analytic skills
  • High-level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to learn SharePoint and WordPress
  • Previous work in social science research or related area
  • Preference given to students who have successfully completed a statistics class
