Job Description:

The Helpdesk Technician is responsible for working directly with the IT Staff, other STAs, and the campus community in documenting and attempting first level support in break/fix technology issues across campus.  The position will assist in the installation, configuration and testing of technology systems on campus.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and answer questions or escalate as appropriate.
  • Monitor helpdesk system for new requests.  Answer requests you can and escalate the others.
  • Work directly with the IT Staff, other STAs, and the campus community in documenting and attempting first level support in break/fix technology issues across campus. 
  • Assist with the loaner equipment pool check out, paper runs, toner deliveries, cleaning of computers in labs and classroom spaces, errands, and writing documentation.
  • Assist installing and testing classroom and presentation technology.
