Photocopies and faxed copies of documents cannot be accepted.&nbsp; <br><br>Students will also need to fully complete the following four forms at any time, after accepting a position, but within 3 business days once the position is started:<br><br>&#8211; Form I-9<br>&#8211; Federal W-4<br>&#8211; State IT-4<br>&#8211; Direct Deposit Form<br><br>Communicate with your student employment supervisor if you cannot complete these forms within a week of receiving your offer.<br><br>F-1 students can apply for a Social Security Number (SSN) after receiving a job offer; the Social Security Administration (SSA) requires proof of employment to issue an SSN to F-1 students. F-1 students will need to apply for their SSN to comply&nbsp;with payroll and tax requirements, but they can begin working and even be paid prior to receiving their SSN, pending they have provided Human Resources with a copy of their SSN Receipt. Students are given the opportunity to participate in this program and work with local non-profit organizations in fields such as health, child and adult care, welfare, education, tutoring, and community improvement. Students are only eligible to work up to 40 hours when the entire work week does not have instructional days. Instructional days are days with classes or exam periods.&nbsp;<br><br>Students studying at the College of Wooster on an F-1 visa are to pay special attention to the limits on hours worked. Not complying with this guideline is a violation and can affect visa status. It is the student worker\u2019s responsibility to ensure that they are staying within these hours.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"7fbc57\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-m6-item section-7fbc57 gutentor-module gutentor-module-accordion-item\"><div class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-panel g-a-panel-258571\"><div class=\"gm-ah-258571 gutentor-module-accordion-item-heading gutentor-module-icon-position-right\"><span class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-panel-handler\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-panel-handler-label\"><strong>Time Submission Instructions <\/strong><\/span><span class=\"gutentor-module-accordion-icon\"><i class=\"gm-aio-258571 gutentor-module-accordion-icon-open fas fa-plus-circle\"><\/i><i class=\"gm-aic-258571 gutentor-module-accordion-icon-close fas fa-minus-circle\"><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/div><div class=\"gm-ab-258571 gutentor-module-accordion-body\">\n<div id=\"section-g8ca753\" class=\"wp-block-gutentor-e0 section-g8ca753 gutentor-element gutentor-element-advanced-text\"><div class=\"gutentor-text-wrap\"><p class=\"gutentor-text\"><br><strong>Schedule<\/strong><br><br>Students are paid on a\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inside.wooster.edu\/hr\/salary-and-hourly-payroll-schedule-2024\/\">bi-weekly schedule<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<br><br>we recommend that enter your hours daily, but you may wait until the end of each pay period, but please make sure not to select the &#8220;approval&#8221; checkbox in the program until you are sure that you have entered all your hours for the designated pay period.<br><br>Time entry must be completed correctly and submitted to the supervisor by the scheduled deadline. Time entry must have the supervisor&#8217;s approval (or the approval of a designated alternate) to be processed according to the schedule.<br><br>Please refer to the payroll schedule to see the time entry deadlines.
