Change Your Password

Faculty/Staff: Password Setup, Change, or Forgotten Password Reset

Mac Users:

Password Setup – will start with your welcome to Wooster. You will receive your first temporary password through a supervisor/director of your department. You will then be instructed to change that password by going to mypassword.wooster.edu
Change Password after initial setup –  Make sure your College issued Mac is connected to The College of Wooster wifi or VPN and go to System Preference>User & Groups>Change Password
Forgotten Password – Contact the Helpdesk if you are unable to access your computer, either by phone at (330)287-4357 or by email at helpdesk@wooster.edu

PC Users:

Password Setup – will start with your welcome to Wooster. You will receive your first temporary password through a supervisor/director of your department. You will then be instructed to change that password by going to mypassword.wooster.edu
Change Password after initial setup – Make sure your College issued PC is connected to The College of Wooster wifi or VPN and click Ctrl,Alt,Delete > Select Change Password from the menu
Forgotten Password – Contact the Helpdesk if you are unable to access your computer, either by phone at (330)287-4357 or by email at helpdesk@wooster.edu

Student: Password Setup and Forgotten Password Reset

You can do both with our self-service portal located at:
mypassword.wooster.edu

Passwords Guidelines:

  • Your password should NOT contain any part of your username, name, or any of your last 7 passwords
  • Your password should be at least eight (8) characters (a mix of letters, numbers, symbols)
  • Your password should not be your username, name, or any part of either
  • You should not reuse a previously used password.

Failure to follow these rules when entering a new password will result in password failure.
