Caitlyn combines her passions for traditional classrooms, experiential learning, and her love of technology to innovate learning for students in the classroom and beyond. She has experience working with a multitude of technologies and software, including the use of Social Media as a learning platform. Caitlyn’s primary passion is the gamification of modules and courses, but is excited about course design and interactivity, increasing learner engagement, enjoyment and achievement. Joining the Educational Technology department in June of 2022, Caitlyn works with faculty and staff to help design and create a variety of instructional materials that fulfill the needs of both educator and student to create a compelling learning experience, help students create and design projects and answer questions about supported software. 

Having graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in Animal Sciences – specializing in Animal Industries, Wildlife and Conservation – and a minor in Community Outreach leadership, Caitlyn received her MS in Instructional Design and Learning Technologies from Franklin University in August 2023. She has worked previously to create and perform programming for the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) within the Living Collection, and been a freelance consulting instructional designer and content creator for other museum and zoological education departments, K12 teachers and higher education professionals.
