Microsoft Outlook is included with Microsoft Office as a part of the College\u2019s license agreement and is included for download as part of the Office suite for any member of the college community.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"MicrosoftOutlook-WebAppvsDesktopClient\">Web App vs Desktop Client<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>There are two ways that you can access email on a computer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>use the Outlook Web App at&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/email.wooster.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/email.wooster.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>download and install the official Microsoft Outlook client. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each application has its own pros and cons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Outlook Online Web Portal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Can be used from any computer, even public.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can be used without installing the desktop client.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can easily see your school OneDrive account and all of its contents through this interface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not every browser supports the web portal on every operating system. Those who use Google Chrome on a Windows Operating System, for instance, may experience difficulties with connecting to the email web portal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Outlook Desktop Client<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Can be opened from your desktop without needing an internet browser open<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has a sleeker interface, with more options for those who want to sort how their email appears.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has an option to automatically log you in without needing to type in your password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does not have streamlined access to SharePoint or OneDrive.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"outlooks-integration-with-the-edge-sidebar\">Outlook&#8217;s Integration with the Edge Sidebar:<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>This integration means that users can access Outlook tools directly from a sidebar in the Microsoft Edge browser. It allows for multitasking, as users can manage their emails and calendar while browsing other web pages without having to switch between applications or tabs.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"
