Hello! I’m Lina and I’ve spent just one semester working as a Student Technology Assistant. I enjoy working at the desk, working on digital projects, learning, and helping my fellow confused students navigate the wonders of technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I applied for the job because I heard that it’s a great way to learn different digital technologies. And it was! During my shifts, whenever I’m not actively helping students out, I’m working on my personal digital goals. As an aspiring game dev, I’ve been learning how to use Unity Engine. I’ve also been furthering my graphic design skills by learning how to use Canva. Having these blocks of time specifically allocated for stress-free, personalized learning means that I’m getting a lot of relevant skills and knowledge out of my time here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This spring semester, I got to partake in a group STA project about ChatGPT. I pretty much just messed around with it, learning how to use it to answer STEM-related questions, give me works of creativing writing, entertain me and my friends, and learn about the benefits, drawbacks, advantages, and shortcomings of it and other AI language models. Being an STA is a great job to consider if you’re interested in learning and enjoy helping other students. All sorts of people, not just computer science majors, like yours truly, work there.
