Follow along on your own account as we create our poster!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Objectives:<\/strong> Learn how to create a stunning I.S. poster in Canva with ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Materials:<\/strong> A laptop and a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canva.com\/\">Canva<\/a> <\/strong>account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"introductionnbsp\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introduction <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Meet your instructors: Lina &amp; Jessica!&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you don&#8217;t have a Canva account already, our assistants can help you set one up!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Common Canva functions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"steps-to-create-your-is-poster-in-canva\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Steps to Create your I.S. Poster in Canva<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Create your poster<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create a 36\u201d by 48\u201d poster<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Add your information<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add all your relevant information (title, names, logos, main content, etc.) to the poster. Don\u2019t worry about making it look pretty just yet!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Answer these 3 questions: What is your motivation? How did you try to answer or approach it? What did you find out?&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Figure out a layout<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Arrange your elements (text, images, etc.) on the page. Make sure you align things with each other!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Please Note: Your advisor &amp; department have the final say on your poster layout &amp; design, but we can provide design tips.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Add colors &amp; fonts<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the fonts &amp; colors for your poster.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use tools like Canva\u2019s font search, <a href=\"https:\/\/coolors.co\/c1cfda-20a4f3-59f8e8-941c2f-03191e\">Coolors color palette generator<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/webaim.org\/resources\/contrastchecker\/\">WebAIM Contrast Checker!<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"wrap-upnbsp\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wrap Up <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Anything we didn\u2019t cover that you\u2019d like to know?
