Writing Retreat"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"847\" src=\"https:\/\/inside.wooster.edu\/writing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2026\/02\/Retreat-Small-1024x847.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-470\" style=\"width:325px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inside.wooster.edu\/writing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2026\/02\/Retreat-Small-1024x847.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/inside.wooster.edu\/writing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2026\/02\/Retreat-Small-300x248.jpg 300w, https:\/\/inside.wooster.edu\/writing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2026\/02\/Retreat-Small-768x636.jpg 768w, https:\/\/inside.wooster.edu\/writing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2026\/02\/Retreat-Small-1536x1271.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/inside.wooster.edu\/writing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2026\/02\/Retreat-Small.jpg 1543w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Calling all seniors! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Want to show your I.S. some love\u00a0this\u00a0Valentine\u2019s Day?\u00a0\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br><strong>Join the Writing Center for a structured, focused work session on Saturday, Feb 14 from 10:15am until 2pm<\/strong> in Lowry 201.<br>\u00a0<br><strong>How does a retreat work?<\/strong>\u00a0Primarily\u00a0this is a space to get real work done on your I.S. for an extended period of time.\u00a0We&#8217;ll\u00a0set writer (and researcher) goals for the day, opt in to some personal challenges (like going phone-free for an entire 90-minute work session), take a few stretch breaks and a longer lunch break, and celebrate what we have accomplished\u00a0and the challenges we completed.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br><strong>Retreat Schedule:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>10:15am:&nbsp;Personal&nbsp;goal-setting,&nbsp;opting in to challenges, and setting up your space&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>10:30am&nbsp;to&nbsp;Noon:&nbsp;First work session (with a&nbsp;whole-group&nbsp;stretch break at 11:25am)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>12-12:30: Break for lunch&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>12:30 to 1pm: Second work session (with a&nbsp;whole-group&nbsp;stretch break at 1:25pm)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:&nbsp;<\/strong>Lunch will not be provided, but we will&nbsp;be&nbsp;located&nbsp;in&nbsp;Lowry&nbsp;and our room will be secure during the break period.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are you committing to?<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><em>Being present and working on your I.S. for the entire retreat time: 10:15am to 2pm.<\/em>&nbsp;We will take breaks (including for&nbsp;lunch). But, because the purpose of a retreat is extended work time and people coming and going can be a distraction, we do ask that you only attend if you are able to stay and work for the entire period.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>If you have other commitments or think this amount of time is too much for you, that is completely understandable!
