• What I love about writing: Being able to so clearly convey your ideas and thoughts about any one subject is so immensely important and gratifying. I love that writing has allowed me to be able to gather all of my opinions and thoughts and combine them with interesting things to communicate with other people in a way that is more or less permanent.

• Something interesting about me: I absolutely love yarn shopping and crocheting, but mostly the yarn shopping bit.

• What I love about writing: I love writing because it’s both an art form and a basic form of communication. There is something deeply human about every piece of writing and I think that’s beautiful. 
• Something interesting about me: I invented my own alphabet that I used as a toddler.

• What I love about writing: Writing can be so personal. It’s an art form that is both entirely unique to every person and influenced by all the people who have influenced you. I think that’s kind of beautiful. 
• Something interesting about me: My favorite book series is the Wildwood Chronicles by Colin Meloy. He’s also the lead singer of one of my favorite bands, The Decemberists!

• What I love about writing: My favorite thing about writing is the revision process; it’s a labor of love, but spending time with a creative piece makes me cherish it even more.
• Something interesting about me: I recently started a job as a barista downtown!

Gabriele Sam

• Major:  Urban Studies with an Environmental Communication and Action Pathway
• What I love about writing: Honestly, it’s the process of writing I love the most—the tunnel vision feeling you get when you’re writing, and your thoughts are running and synthesizing into this amazing argument. It’s just generally a beautiful form of self-expression. I feel this in all forms of writing, whether that be creative or academic reports. So to conclude, writing liberates me from the complexity of a lot of things, both personal and academic, and makes everything simple.
• Something interesting about me: I really enjoy watching good television so I can eventually watch a good analysis video on the critical explanations of films and television shows that have amazing editing, acting, and plot.
