Diversity in Water Speaker Series: Lorraine Krzyzewski

The Diversity in Water Speaker Series invites leaders in Ohio’s water industry from diverse backgrounds to discuss their careers, lend us their life lessons, and help lead the discussion on championing diversity within the water industry and in our day-to-day lives.

Lorraine Krzyzewski is the Watershed Manager for the Columbus Division of Water, Watershed Management Section where her responsibilities include management of the city’s four drinking water reservoirs, and watershed protection efforts extending over a 13-county area.  Lorraine has over 25 years of experience working to safeguard Columbus’ water supply.  She holds an undergraduate degree in environmental science with a focus on water quality, and a master of education in STEM Education both from The Ohio State University.  She was honored to be inducted to OSU’s School of Environment and Natural Resources “ENR Honorary 100” in 2020.  Lorraine served as the city’s project manager of Columbus’ 2017 Watershed Master Plan and works alongside her team to implement numerous strategies used to protect the source water supply for 1.4 million customers.  Lorraine is a member of the Ohio AWWA Source Water Protection Committee.
