How to Transfer Credits from Other Institutions
- Schedule a meeting with your academic adviser prior to enrolling to determine whether the transfer work is appropriate for degree requirements.
- When possible, meet with the relevant department chairs and present the course description(s) from the institution’s catalogue to acquire pre-approval for transfer course work you wish to have counted for degree requirements.
- Once the course you are taking at the other institution is complete, please reach out to the other institution’s Registrar’s Office to send your official transcript to the College of Wooster Registrar’s Office (registrar@wooster.edu).
- Complete a Transfer Credit form for each course you hope to have count towards Wooster degree requirements. Once completed, please save the form as a PDF file then reach out to the appropriate Department Chair. Your email, when reaching out, must include a copy of the saved PDF file of the Transfer Credit form, a copy of the course syllabus, and a link to a Faculty Approval form. If you only need the transfer credit to count as elective credit toward degree completion, this form does NOT need to be completed.
- The Registrar will enter the applicable credit and notify the student and the academic adviser.
