Students who are active duty or reserve military, veterans, or dependents of those who have served may be eligible for education benefits through one of several programs with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the College of Wooster. Students should consult the VA website for comprehensive information about the various programs, eligibility criteria, and current benefit amounts. Students currently utilize both Chapter 35 (Dependents’ Education Assistance) and Chapter 33 (Post-9/11 GI Bill). The College of Wooster also participates in the Yellow Ribbon program. To use any VA education benefits, students should forward the certificate of eligibility (COE) document to the School Certifying Official as soon as possible after receiving it from the VA.
For questions and verification of eligibility for veteran education benefits please contact the School Certifying Official, Nicholas Szymanski, Registrar, at 330-263-2198 or via email at registrar@wooster.edu. The Registrar’s Office is located in APEX in the Gault/Andrews Library.
