Student Notebook Acquisition Program
The College of Wooster requires all students to have a notebook computer which meets specifications based on anticipated use in the College’s educational programs. Recommended minimum specifications are available on IT’s website or by contacting IT (helpdesk@wooster.edu).
Students who need advice or/and assistance in acquiring a computer may contact the College’s IT Department. Students may acquire Wooster’s standard Windows notebook computer that is a “business class” device with manufacturer warranty. The device is the standard Windows notebook provided to staff and faculty. The cost of the device is the College’s cost [plus sales tax, which we are required to collect]. For students who may need financial assistance to acquire a device, part or all of the cost may be offset through aid options available through the Dean of Students’ office and as evaluated by Wooster’s Financial Aid Office.
