The Phi Beta Kappa Society is a leading national advocate for the value of arts and sciences education.
Attention sophomores and juniors: If you have a 3.5 GPA and are interested in a career in public service, the Phi Beta Kappa Society invites online applications for its 2024 Key into Public Service Scholars program. Phi Beta Kappa membership is not required. This Initiative will award up to 20 liberal arts and sciences majors nationwide with $5,000 undergraduate scholarships. Recipients will also participate in a conference in Washington, DC in late June 2024 which will provide training, mentoring, and reflection on pathways into local, state, and federal government careers.
Characteristics of ideal recipients include intellectual curiosity, breadth and depth of art and sciences coursework, leadership propensity, and service to others. Interested students can learn more and apply online by Monday, January 22, 2024 at www.pbk.org/KeyIntoPublicService.
The key criteria are:
- an interest in working in local, state, or federal government service
- current sophomores and juniors
- minimum grade point average of 3.5
