Forgotten Passwords
*You must have previously set your security questions and updated your profile with an alternate email.*
- Visit https://mypassword.wooster.edu to connect to the Password Self Service site and click on the “Forgotten Password” button at the bottom.
- Next, enter your Wooster email address and last name in the appropriate fields.
- Answer your password questions in the provided spaces.
- Once you have successfully answered your questions, you will be presented with a dialog box asking for a verification code.
- In a separate browser window check your alternate email account for the code. See example below.
- Once you receive the code, copy and paste it into the dialog box and click “check code”.
- Once the verification process completes, your new password will be emailed to your alternate email account. For example:
Even though the password has now been reset, the password sent to you will be an automatically generated one. We recommend changing it to something more familiar to you.
- Close the browser windows and reconnect to https://mypassword.wooster.edu.
- Log in using the username and the password emailed to your alternate email account.
- Click the “Change Password” button.
