Printing FAQ – Fall 2022/Spring 2023

What is PaperCut?

PaperCut is a print management solution used at Wooster.  Output is tracked automatically when you print or release your print job at the device.  Faculty and staff using direct print queues will have the output assigned to their primary department if output needs assigned to a different cost center, a release queue needs to be used and the cost center can be assigned at release.  Wooster’s implementation of PaperCut does not require users to run the popup client.

All student output is automatically assigned to their personal printing allocation.  If a student is printing for a campus job, a release queue must be used, and the appropriate departmental account needs to be chosen at release.

Public Copying and Printing Locations

Public printing and copying are available in Andrews Library (CoRE), Timken Science Library, and outside the Alley at Lowry Center.

  • Andrews Library (CoRE) has two Ricoh IM C6500, 60 page per minute color MFD.
  • Timken Science Library has one Ricoh IM C6500, 60 page per minute color MFD behind the circulation desk.
  • Lowry Center (The Alley) has one Ricoh IM C6500, 60 page per minute color MFD.

Duplex Printing

All MFD devices will default to duplex, double-sided, printing.  While we encourage all to conserve paper by printing double-sided, there is no penalty for printing a simplex, single-sided, document.

Poster Printing

Technology Services prints posters for student academic assignments and faculty and staff projects.  For additional information visit the Instructional Technology poster printing page.

How do I order toner, paper and other supplies?

Toner is auto shipped from Modern Office Methods and extra toner will be available in technology Services if you need toner before your auto-shipment arrives.  You will need to monitor supply levels for staples and your waste toner bottle.  Those will need ordered by calling the support number on the MFD.

Paper for copiers and printers may be ordered using the Paper Request Form.
