Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. By appointment only. Call 330-263-2319 to schedule an appointment. A $30 fee will be charged for missed appointments not canceled within 2 hours before appointment time. Click here for after-hours resources.

RN Services
Registered Nurses are available by appointment only. Call 330-263-2319 to schedule an appointment.
- Registered Nurses can perform a multitude of tests/procedures including, but not limited to, strep tests, urine tests, pregnancy tests, TB tests, flu tests, and blood draws.
- They can also assess your condition and help you determine your course of action.
- Registered nurses cannot prescribe antibiotics, however, they can assist in determining over the counter medication.
- If necessary, registered nurses may also contact physicians on call at Cleveland Clinic, Wooster for consultation and telephone orders.

Vaccines offered at the Wellness Center. Vaccines are charged to insurance. Whatever insurance does not pay will be billed to the student’s account.

Laboratory

- Processing fee will be billed by Cleveland Clinic Lab.
Allergy Injections
Students who are currently being treated with allergy injections may continue injections during physician hours. Mail or bring your serum to Longbrake Student Wellness Center. First injection needs a doctor appointment. Your insurance will be billed for allergy injections.
Self Serve Care Center
Open 24 hours for self-evaluation and treatment. The following over the counter medications and products are available at Entrances A and D.
- Pain/Fever (Ibuprofen)
- Medicidin-D (Ingredients include acetaminophen, antihistamine, and nasal decongestant)
- Salt for Gargle
- Cough drops
- Condoms

Fees for Service
There is no charge to see a nurse. Quick tests or injections completed during a nurse exam (ex: strep, covid, flu, urine) will be billed to insurance and whatever insurance does not pay will be billed to the student’s account. Doctor visits are billed to insurance. Whatever insurance does not pay, will be billed to the student’s account. The items below are available for an out-of-pocket expense and can be paid using cash, check, credit card, COW card, or billed to the student’s account.

If additional or specialized medical care is needed, especially after regular physician hours, students will be referred to Cleveland Clinic, Wooster branch. All such medical care received outside the Longbrake Student Wellness Center is the financial responsibility of the student.
In an emergency, the student will be referred to Wooster Community Hospital Emergency Department. This will be the student’s financial responsibility.
Student Medical Records and Confidentiality
An electronic health records is maintained for all students. The Longbrake Student Wellness Center maintains strict confidentiality of this record, in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio.
All confidential records can be released with student’s permission.
We can confirm specific visits with appropriate parties, with the student’s verbal or electronic consent. Students may grant permission for their illness/injury to be discussed with parents, professors, etc., on an illness by illness basis. However, parents of students below the age of 18 do not need permission speak with LSWC staff.
Requesting a copy of any part of your medical records requires a written request and a processing fee
Notification
The Longbrake Student Wellness Center does not routinely notify parents or professors of illness. This is the student’s responsibility.
When students are hospitalized with serious conditions, parents/guardians will be notified. Dean’s staff will be notified of the hospitalization.
