FAQs about Microsoft Teams

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Should I switch from using Moodle or something else and just move everything to Teams?

· No! We are not advocating that everyone just goes out and creates a Team. To be clear, our Teams documentation is not focused on using a “team” in Microsoft Teams. We are using Teams because Microsoft is putting all of their efforts into Teams as the video conferencing solution. Our documentation focuses on the “easiest” way to get calls and video calls that can be recorded which is using Outlook calendar to schedule a Teams call. Then the user lands in Microsoft Teams.

2. Who can use Microsoft Teams at The College of Wooster?

· Anyone at The College of Wooster can use Microsoft Teams. It is part of our Office 365 license. It can be found in the app launcher when logged into Office 365 or it can be downloaded to your machine or mobile device.

Teams is available the browser in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome but is not supported in other browser applications. Teams apps are available for iOS and Android.
