AI Learning Opportunity from the Council of Independent Colleges

The College of Wooster is participating in the Council of Independent College’s AI Ready Program. AI Ready is a 12-month Network built to foster learning, share resources, and increase effective adoption related to artificial intelligence. The Network will focus on both pedagogical and business uses for AI, bringing the current conversation about AI to key areas of campus.

All members of campus can engage (faculty and staff) in weekly (virtual) meetings (2 pm on Thursdays) starting in August. Each month has a theme and is framed as a series of four weekly meetings. The 4th week will just be the GLCA cohort of institutions. The following months are particularly relevant for faculty and academic-facing staff:

  • October – AI Pedagogy and AI in the Curriculum
  • November – Retention and Student Success
  • February – Hyper Personalized Learning with AI
  • March – Student Affairs, Mental Health, and Career Services
  • June – Academic Affairs, Data Management and LMS Development

Please check your email and the Academic Professional Development Team for registration details each month.

Academic Affairs & Educational Technology will be hosting an on-campus debrief and brainstorming session on October 31. Attendance is open to all interested faculty and staff – even if you did not attend the October AI Ready sessions!
