Project Description
We study avalanches on a conical beadpile, a model of a critical system related to multiple other physical systems through the idea of universality. We use a variety of techniques, including mass analysis and video analysis, to understand the dynamics and statistics of avalanches. Improving the video analysis of the pile is our current focus.
