Emily joined the Educational Technology department in August 2015. Previously, she worked for fifteen years as an educational technologist for Wooster City Schools. She holds a BA in English with a minor in Education from the College of Wooster, an MA in Instructional Technology from the University of Akron, and an Ohio teaching license in English grades 7-12. Emily’s passion lies in working with faculty to assess their students’ needs and their own teaching practices with the goal of integrating technology to increase student engagement and achievement. She has experience in using a range of technologies including mobile and interactive devices as well as a variety of software applications and online products. Emily enjoys designing training materials, facilitating professional development workshops, and providing coaching. Schedule with Emily or her Ed Tech colleague using Office 365 Bookings.
Emily serves as the President of the College’s Phi Beta Kappa chapter and on the executive committee for the Women’s Advisory Board. She has served on the College’s Staff Committee as a member and co-chair (2018-2021) and as a reunion ambassador for her class with the Alumni office.
