Foreign language is a graduation requirement for every student. It is possible to satisfy and waive the foreign language requirement.
Students whose primary language is not English must achieve a TOEFL score (paper-based) of 550, a TOEFL iBT (internet-based) of 80, or an IELTS 7 band score; or they must meet the requirement through placement or course work.
Students whose primary language is English and who are proficient in a second language must take Wooster’s language placement exams or provide evidence of their language skills through another method approved by the Dean of Curriculum and Academic Engagement.
