Minimizing classroom disruptions from MFA

As of January 28, 2020 all members of the campus community have had Multi-Factor authentication (MFA) activated for their Wooster account. This means that individuals will be prompted for a second authentication method when they login to email, One Drive, or Office products. To lessen the disruption this might have on classroom activities individuals should:

  1. Make sure to have their second authentication factor (usually a cell phone) with them at all times
  2. Choose the “Don’t ask me for 14 days” option after authenticating to avoid future multi-factor authentication prompts
  3. Consider using your own laptop to present in the classroom since it is more likely that you have already completed option 2. on your laptop
  4. Make sure to logout of any public or classroom computer

If you encounter repeated issues with a particular computer make sure to report the issues by calling 330.287.4357 or emailing helpdesk@wooster.edu
