Educational Technology will host pre-semester workshops for faculty the week of August 11th, 2025.

AI, Wooster, and You

How are faculty and students approaching the use of artificial intelligence in the classroom? We’ll discuss

  • what generative AI tools might you use?
  • what is the College’s approach? We’ll share sample syllabus statements and classroom policies
  • how can faculty adapt activities to meet learning goals and assess student learning?

Grading Approaches

A workshop for faculty and staff hosted by Educational Technology, Educational Assessment, and the Writing Center.

Whether you use a more “traditional” – or want to use an “alternative” approach to grading such as contract, specifications, or labor-based grading, join us for a discussion and lessons learned. We will have time for questions and examples of how to achieve various gradebook setups in Moodle. By using graded activities such as assignments and quizzes in Moodle, you can leverage features that help you and your students monitor their progress through the course.
