This workshop will cover the principles of graphic design and employ them in Canva, along with additional design tips from the instructor, Lina Boughton. Students will leave with a better understanding of graphic design. A laptop is required. Setting up a Canva account prior to the workshop and bringing your own personal designs/ideas is encouraged.

     • Contrast 
     • Alignment
     • Repetition

   • Implement these design ideas
   • Learn about basic Canva functionality (for those who need it)
   • Go over some advanced Canva features
     • Apps
     • Styles
     • Photo Manipulation
   • Design worktime with assistance
     • Work on your own designs
     • Improve upon any of these designs
       • Improvement ideas/suggestions
     • Create designs for these posters

3. Closing 
   • Talk about DMB resources and workshops for next semester
