This past year, I’ve focused on learning both digital art in Clip Studio Paint and Unity Engine. I now know the basics of digital art, animation, state machines, tilemaps, and prefabricated objects. This is all in pursuit of a small, personal Unity project about birding. While the project is incomplete, I’ve made lots of progress learning the softwares and will be continuing this work into the summer.
I’ve also joined the Digital Media Bar’s social media team, which means I get to apply my graphic design skills to posters and Instagram posts. I’ve enjoyed creative freedom with both graphic design and project design, pursuing projects that I have ideas for.
I started hosting workshops this year about graphic design in Canva, which present the basics of each in a hands-on demonstration. Both workshops were loved among students and staff alike, so I plan on continuing them next year; I hope to see you there!
