Create a simple 3D model of a pumpkin while learning the basic interface and tools that Blender has to offer!

Agenda: What will students learn

  1. Create a new project  
    • Open a new project 
    • Save a project 
    • Render a project 
    • Export a project (as png, pdf, stl, obj) 
  1. Navigate around a scene/edit object 
    • Shortcut keys to navigate 
    • Delete, add, and select an object 
    • Shortcut keys to edit an object
    • Shortcut keys to move an object
    • Move camera
    • General material/base color 
  1. Create and edit a mesh object 
    • Create/preadjust a mesh object 
    • Change # of vertices, circumference, etc. 
    • Subdivision Surface 
    • Proportional editing 
    • Auto select vertices/edges 
    • Extruding vertices, edges, and faces 
    • Sculpting (inflate, smooth, grab, crease, etc.) 
  1. Image Texture 
    • Isolate object 
    • Create/painting a material 
    • Spotting/dot brush
