This year, I set out to deepen my expertise in two key tech tools—ChatGPT and Clipchamp—and translate that knowledge into hands-on workshops for students. Both goals were not only met but also reinforced how powerful these tools can be in fostering creativity and problem-solving.
In October I led a ChatGPT App-Building Workshop

Over the summer and fall, I immersed myself in prompt engineering, feature exploration, and real-world AI applications. By October, I delivered a workshop where students built functional app prototypes using ChatGPT. Key takeaways:
- AI as a collaborator: Students saw how conversational AI accelerates brainstorming, scaffolds coding, and simplifies debugging.
- Skill transfer: Teaching sharpened my own techniques—especially in guiding beginners through AI-assisted workflows.
As someone pursuing Computer Science with interests in software engineering and AI, this workshop gave me practical experience in prompt design, natural language interfaces, and human-AI collaboration—skills increasingly relevant in industry and research. It also helped me improve my instructional communication, something crucial for mentoring, team leadership, or even technical product roles.
In April I led a Clipchamp Video Editing Workshop
Shifting focus to video literacy, I designed a spring workshop balancing creative storytelling with technical editing skills. Participants (shoutout to Emily and Jessica!) created polished clips, and feedback confirmed the session’s success. Highlights:
- Engagement + outcomes: Small-group focus ensured hands-on practice and high-quality results.
- Tool accessibility: Clipchamp proved ideal for beginners—intuitive yet powerful.
Video is a powerful medium for education, marketing, and storytelling—all of which intersect with careers in tech, UX, and entrepreneurship. This project made me more confident in using media tools to amplify ideas, communicate project outcomes, or create instructional content for future apps or products.
