Copilot Basics Workshop Series

Feeling unsure about using AI tools like Microsoft Copilot? You’re not alone, and these workshops are designed just for you! This series of beginner-friendly 30-minute sessions will introduce faculty and staff to Microsoft Copilot Chat, the College’s supported generative AI tool, and will help participants build confidence step-by-step. No prior experience needed!

  • Virtual sessions will be hosted in a Microsoft Teams meeting. Registrants will receive a calendar event with the meeting link.

Session 1: Getting Started with Copilot Chat

Learn the essentials of Copilot Chat – how to ask questions, use memory, integrate file content, and organize ideas with Pages.

Session 2: Introduction to Prompt Engineering

Discover how to craft clear, effective prompts using the Goal, Context, Source, and Expectations framework, as well as a number of other prompting frameworks, for better results.

How can faculty use AI to assist in creating teaching materials? Join us to learn how the Microsoft Teach Module in Copilot to assist you in creating lesson plans, rubrics, quizzes, and student practice activities. Bring your lesson materials, and we’ll explore together!
