Basic Functions

• Make a Document
  • Standard Photoshop Size (7 x 5 in)
• Layers
  • Layers Tab in the lower right

Image Adjustments (Flower Bouquet)

• Brightness/Contrast
  • Brightness is the overall brightness of an image
• Hue/Saturation
  • Hue Changes the colors of an image
  • Saturation affects the intensity of colors in an image
  • It is possible to change only certain colors within an image
• Black/White
  • Separate Color Channels
• Shadows/Highlights
  • Shadow adjusts shaded areas
  • Highlights adjusts brighter areas

Altering Images (Rock Formation)

• Removing large objects – Select, Edit>Fill
• Spot Healing Brush
• Clone Stamp

Combining Images

• Layer Mask
  • In the Layers tab
  • Painting over in black makes that part of the layer invisible
