Matt Mullenweg, one of the co-founders of WordPress and Automattic, gives an overview of all the updates made to WordPress in the past year and a preview of the changes to come in 2022. Some things of note are:
- The expansion of learn.wordpress.org including two full lesson plans for individuals teaching others how to use WordPress
- The acquisition of Creative Commons search and rebranding it to Openverse providing over 600 million Creative Commons licensed images
- The addition of the pattern library
- Making WordPress Core available in over 71 languages
- The creation of a diverse speakers program
