I.S. Formatting
Formatting your Independent Study thesis can be tricky! Join us for a session designed to provide guidance and resources for students using Microsoft Word to ensure their document meets department guidelines. Visit our I.S. Formatting page for details. (Note: Students using LaTeX should visit the WooLaTeX site for templates and info.) The session is led by Dr. Jon Breitenbucher, Director of Emerging and Educational Technology.

Game Development in Unity

Wednesday, March 11, from 4:00 to 5:00PM in Andrews Library, McCoy Lab. Register
In this session, you will get to build a small playable 3D game, including setting up a scene, adding a player character, creating basic movement controls, and designing simple gameplay elements. No prior experience is required, so it’s a perfect chance for anyone interested in game development! The session is led by Student Digital Media Assistant Atomu Maruyama ‘26.
Financial Modeling with Excel
Friday, April 24, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in the Andrews Library CoRE Cube. Register
Gain practical skills in this hands-on session designed to help you build and analyze your own financial models using Excel. Whether for class or career preparation, you will learn the essential techniques for structuring effective data models. The session is led by Student Digital Media Assistant Abhinav Randive ’27.
An Introduction to ArcGIS Maps

This session introduces the basics of creating clean, visually effective maps in ArcGIS. Whether you need to visualize data for class projects, presentations, or posters, you will learn the essential skills to make your maps stand out. The session is led by student digital media assistant Yajas Kandel ‘27.
