Spring Semester Move In

As we approach the end of break, Residence Life wanted to share the process for returning to campus for spring 2022:

  • If you are arriving between 1/15 or 1/16 between the hours 10:00am and 8:00pm, please follow the steps below:
    • Complete your pre-arrival testing and submit this information before arriving to campus.
    • Upon arrival to campus, please go directly to Longbrake Wellness Center (Door D, in the back near the parking lot) to take your Rapid COVID test. This test will take ~15 minutes to receive a result.
      • If you test negative AND live in Armington, Andrews, Brush, Gault Schoolhouse, Stevenson or any house other than Johnson or Reed, you will be permitted to move into your spring assignment and do not need to visit Campus Access.
      • If you test negative AND live in any other building not listed above, you will be instructed to head to Campus Access to activate your card and receive access to your space.
      • IF you test positive upon arrival, you will be following the guidelines by our COVID Task Force and will either need to return home or move into Isolation.

*Please note that all students who arrive during this time will be checked into the housing system at the conclusion of their test.

  • For students arriving outside of the times listed above, please follow steps below:
  • Complete your pre-arrival testing and submit this information before arriving to campus.
  • If you live in Armington, Andrews, Brush, Gault Schoolhouse, Stevenson or any house other than Johnson or Reed, you will be permitted to move into your spring assignment and do not need to visit Campus Access.
  • If you do not live in Armington, Andrews, Brush, Gault Schoolhouse, Stevenson or any house other than Johnson or Reed, please arrive at Campus Access (located in the Campus Safety building) to receive access to your space.
  • All students who do not arrive during testing hours MUST be tested the following day at the Longbrake Wellness Center.
    • IF you test positive upon arrival, you will be following the guidelines by our COVID Task Force and will either need to return home or move into Isolation.
    • Students who fail to test the day following their arrival to campus will be documented for failing to meet the COVID Community Agreement
  • Please contact your RA and let them know that you have arrived and they will check you in via the Housing System. They can be reached by email or teams, you should have received a welcome email from them.

Students need approval to arrive prior to January 15th. Please contact the Residence Life Office at reslife@wooster.edu for these request.

If you are having traveling difficulties, received a positive result with pre-arrival testing, or have another extenuating circumstance and will be arriving after January 16th, please contact the Dean of Students Office at dean_of_students@wooster.edu and inform them of your anticipated date of arrival. Additional instructions for checking in will be given at that time.

Roommate Agreement

We strongly encourage all students living with someone new to complete a Roommate Agreement First-Years will be required to work through this form with their new roommates to help establish boundaries and healthy relationships to last through the academic year. Upperclass students are offered the opportunity to complete the agreement if they wish to do so. Your Resident Assistant (RA) has forms available, there are several copies in the campus life office, or you are welcome to print off the agreement from the link above.
